CANCON 2nd Hand Stall

CANCON 2ND HAND STALL 2017

Update 6/2/17
We have been working on processing the sales from Cancon for some days and I have sent out numerous emails requesting bank details so that I can transfer monies. I have heard back from some of these people but not everybody. Please check your emails for any correspondence from us and respond as appropriate.

We have also been working through a large list of `errors' that is sales whose details did not match any recorded seller.  Some of these errors were down to poor hand writing, duplicate and even triplicate items listed, errors in listing items ie the code did not match the item sold and a large number of torn/missing/damaged labels with only partial customer codes available.

We met yesterday and worked our way through these `errors' and will be shortly contacting their sellers requesting bank details.

Thank you for your patience.

Team Moab, will be attending CanCon this year to run the Second Hand Stall on Friday 27th, Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th of January.  Items may be booked in on Thursday 26th from 2pm to 6pm, to help you get the maximum sale time.

A new computer system will be used to process sales this will reduce the wait time for customers and stress for all those involved.

Based on feedback from CanCon 2016, a colour coded and timed group entry system will be used to manage entry to the Second Hand Stall during the peaking opening time on Friday from 11am to 12.30pm. This is designed to allow you more time at the convention and less time standing in a queue.

In brief, as people come to the door to line up they will be given a coloured ticket, one ticket per person. They will have the option of staying in line or of going away and coming back at a set time. Each group will have its own time to return to queue up to enter.  This will give people the option to line up or wander off and amuse themselves till their allocated time and assist queue and crowd control.

This year the timing of CanCon has changed which may have flow on effects for the operation of the Second Hand Stall.  We will be closing at Sunday 12midday sharp for ALL sales and payouts.  Between 12.30pm and 1pm there will only be provisions for sellers to collect their items with absolutely no payouts being made. Any monies owing will be paid via arranged bank transfer at a later date. Items not collected after 1pm may be left at CanCon.'
